Manchester United star Nani has urged his team-mates to target a Premier League and FA Cup double after their season took a dramatic hit.
The Red Devils first exited the League Cup before being dumped out of the Champions League in a disastrous eight-day spell.
This season has also seen United lose 6-1 at home to Manchester City, but they are still only two points behind their fierce rivals at the top of the table heading into the busy Christmas period.
They will also meet Roberto Mancini’s side in a mouth-watering FA Cup third round tie and Nani has urged his side to ensure their season ends on a high by challenging to win the double.
“It has been tough,” the Portuguese winger said to The Sun.
“It is so disappointing to be out of the Champions League after the group stages.
"But we are still alive this season and must now do our best to win the two domestic competitions we are still in."
The weekend’s 4-1 win over Wolves, in which Nani scored twice, got the Red Devils back on track and they will now be keenly watching Monday night’s action to see how title rivals Chelsea and City fare at Stamford Bridge.
