Tube strikes causing Boxing Day chaos for bargain shoppers in London

Shoppers in the capital face huge disruptions on public transport on Boxing Day, with several lines running with severe delays and others closed altogether as London Underground drivers staged a 24-hour walkout.
The dispute centres around the Aslef union's demands for more money for its members who work on the public holiday.

London Underground is attempting to limit disruption to services, but the strike is expected to impact Boxing Day shoppers and football fans travelling to the traditional post-Christmas Premier League fixtures.
Arsenal were forced to move their game with Wolves to December 27th to avoid the disruption, but Chelsea have decided to go ahead with their west London derby against Fulham at Stamford Bridge.
The circle line - popular for tourist destinations and shopping centres such as Kensington High Street, Baker Street and Kings Cross, is completely suspended.
Meanwhile, all other lines are severely delayed or operating with reduced or replacement bus services.
Commuters are being urged to avoid using the Tube and opt for local bus services instead.
Transport for London has warned travellers to expect 'severe disruption' and urged those using the service to check the website before starting their journey.
Aslef general secretary Mick Whelan told the BBC that the union requires guarantees that Tube workers will have a day off on Boxing Day every other year and be paid more should they choose to work.
London Underground says it has a long-standing agreement with all of its trade unions to cover bank holidays. It has described the demand for additional payment as outrageous.
Aslef members are planning to walk out again on January 16th, February 3rd and 13th over the same issues.
