Fiat and Lopez hit music awards stage
The 2012 Fiat 500 was featured with Jennifer Lopez at the 2011 American Music Awards in L.A. last Sunday.
The new 2012 Fiat 500 performed alongside Jennifer Lopez during her delivery of Papi, at the 2011 American Music Awards in Los Angeles last Sunday."The Fiat brand is honoured to share the stage with Jennifer Lopez ... her drive and determination is the common thread that is shared with the brand and our philosophy that 'Life is Best When Driven,'" said Olivier Francois, CEO of the Fiat Brand. "This appearance allows us to continue to expose the 2012 Fiat 500 to a wide demographic."This September, the Fiat Brand announced its collaboration with Lopez, which included placement of the 500 Cabrio in Lopez's new music video, Papi, as well as in a 30-second trailer of the video.Lopez also appears in two addition-al commercials for the brand broad-cast in the USA, My World and Elegance, which feature the Fiat 500 Cabrio and the Fiat 500 by Gucci models.J.Lo's performance and the commercials can be viewed at the Fiat brand USA Facebook page at (www. facebook.com/FIATUSA) and on the Fiat YouTube channel.LOW-CARBON LEATHERBuyers of the new electric cars from luxury brand Fisker can choose sustainable low carbon leather for the interior from Scotland's Bridge of Weir Leather Company.Fisker Automotive co-founder Hen-rik Fisker, explained his choice of supplier: "Bridge of Weir produce the finest leather I have seen in a car, and now that they can do this with zero waste, their low-carbon leather just had to feature in Fisker cars."Opened in 2010, the company's thermal-energy plant is the only one of its kind in the world leather industry, and takes what was previously waste sent straight to landfill and converts it directly to energy for heating the huge volumes of recycled water required in the manufacturing process.Locally sourced leather will make up the bulk of the interior material on the Fisker Karma EcoStandard and EcoSport, with seats, steering, dash, door-casings and centre-console trim wrapped in low carbon leather.RAY OF (LED) LIGHTKia Motors has released the first official images of its all-new Ray compact vehicle, which will be sold exclusively in the Korean home market.The Ray city car will provide consumers with economical motoring and a spacious and highly versatile interior.From the front, Ray combines Kia's signature radiator grille with unique headlamps and LED daytime running lights.Ray's sliding rear passenger side door enables easier entry and exit in tight parking spaces and also provides for a wide, unobstructed side opening for maximum utility and flexibility.Looks like it may have a market here, despite the company's claim the Ray will remain in Korea.
