A man and three young children have died after a blaze at a bungalow in Lancashire.
The fire broke out at the house in Lytham Road, Freckleton, at about 23:20 GMT on Saturday.
A 19-year-old man, twin four-year-old girls and a two-year-old boy were rescued by firefighters and taken to the Royal Preston Hospital, but all of them died.
A joint police and fire service investigation is now under way.
The fire is believed to have started in the bedroom of the house in the village, which is several miles west of Preston.
A spokeswoman for Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service said fire crews had used six breathing apparatus, one lighting unit and two hose reels in a bid to tackle the blaze.
She said that there was "50% fire damage to a wardrobe and 100% smoke damage to the upstairs of the property".
The fire service said initial indications suggested there were no suspicious circumstances.
